Did you experience the Wooroloo Bushfire? Do you have memories in the form of a photo, video, story, poem, artwork, or other item that captured your experience?

Become part of the story of the fire, the aftermath, and the recovery and submit your memories below.

All submitted memories will be reviewed by our Libraries’ Local History team for inclusion in our permanent collection. We may be in touch if we have any questions.

  • Your materials will be stored and made publicly available on the City of Swan Libraries’ catalogue, unless specifically requested otherwise at the time of contribution.

  • Your materials may be featured on this website, and will be shown in the City of Swan Libraries catalogue (unless requested otherwise). They may also be used on other City of Swan websites and platforms, for exhibition, marketing and educational purposes.

  • While we may use your contact details to get in touch about your contribution, no email addresses or phone numbers will be published online or made accessible to the public. However, we may include your name to ensure that proper credit is given to contributors. If you would prefer that your name is not included, please indicate this at the time of submission.

  • Your materials will be part of a permanent City of Swan Libraries’ Local History collection. This is so there is a permanent record of the fire and it’s impact of City of Swan residents.
